    MODESTO (CBS13) – A man has been arrested on suspicion of groping a woman in Modesto.

    ROSEVILLE (CBS13) – A Roseville teacher who was facing a new round of accusations of improper behavior against multiple students has resigned.
    The Roseville Joint Union School District says teacher Douglas Mason submitted his resignation in lieu of termination. The school board accepted Mason’s resignation at their meeting on Aug. 30.

    PLACER COUNTY (CBS13) – Deputies in Placer County arrested a man they say stole a lawnmower before leading them on a pursuit.
    Gordon Bryan, 43, of Manteca, was spotted driving with the stolen tractor in the back of his truck on Thursday. When deputies attempted to pull him over, he crashed the truck and ran towards a shopping center.

    4:30 p.m. UPDATE: Roseville Police have identified the suspect as 43-year-old Eric Joseph Bryant of Roseville.

    SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – Interstate 5 has fully reopened following another round of closures overnight as Caltrans crews make even more emergency repairs.
    Southbound I-5 lanes near Richards Boulevard, just north of downtown Sacramento, were partially closed at 9 p.m. Thursday.

    SACRAMENTO, Calif. (CBS13/AP) – Gov. Jerry Brown has vetoed a bill he says would have given an unfair advantage to large beer manufacturers.
    The bill would have let beer makers give up to five cases of free glassware to bars or other beer retailers.
    Brown writes in his veto message that the bill could have disadvantaged small breweries that can’t afford free glasses the same way large ones can.
