    FAIRFIELD (CBS13) – The search is on for a three-year-old German Shepherd that was stolen in Fairfield over the weekend.
    Fairfield police say the dog, named Nala, escaped from her backyard on Saturday.

    Nala then made her way to a convenience store along the 3000 block of Travis Boulevard. Several customers at the store interacted with Nala, but after a few minutes a woman took her and loaded the dog into her car.

    AUBURN (CBS13) – Vandals hit the Foresthill Bridge over the holiday weekend and tore down hundreds of notes left to try and prevent suicide.
    Adding insult to injury, the vandals also scrawled vile messages on the bridge.
    Last month, the group Notes of Hope: Suicide Prevention strung hundreds of small, colorful, zip tied messages of inspiration on the bridge that has become the end road for so many.

    LOS ANGELES (CBS13) – A local bride is among several couples who may never see their wedding video after a videographer’s computer and hard drive were stolen in Los Angeles last month.
    The videographer’s car was parked in Koreatown on Wilshire and Hobart boulevards on Aug. 13 when someone broke in and stole a 2018 MacBook Pro and Samsung Portable SSD. On the hard drives were the wedding footage of three couples.

  • Suspected DUI Stop Turns Into Drug Bust In Vacaville

    VACAVILLE (CBS13) – What started as a suspected DUI traffic stop over the weekend turned into the arrest of two men with loaded guns for drug sales and firearms possession.
    Just before midnight Saturday, Vacaville police say officers stopped a car in the area of Peabody and Marshall roads when they say passenger 24-year-old Justin Acuyong of Suisun City reached under his seat.
    The driver, 29-year-old Kenny Losito of Fairfield, was also escorted from the vehicle.

    WOODLAND (CBS13) — The search is on for the cause of a fire at a Woodland car repair shop Sunday evening.
    It took 25 firefighters from as far away as West Sacramento and Davis to put it out.
    According to officials, a 911 caller spotted the smoke at West Kentucky Avenue near North Ashley Avenue.

    CITRUS HEIGHTS (CBS13) — A traffic collision in Citrus Heights ended with a vehicle crashing into a garage, police said.
    According to Citrus Heights police, a two-car collision occurred on Sylvan Road Sunday. As a result of the collision, police said a driver lost control of his vehicle and crashed into the garage of a home.

    RENO, Nev. (AP) — A small airplane or engine-driven recreational aircraft crashed Sunday on a rugged and scenic mountain south of Reno, igniting a wildfire that officials feared could climb uphill toward the Mount Rose Ski Tahoe resort.

    Sacramento Metro Fire said everyone escaped from the building on Hawford Drive in North Highlands this morning.
