  • Pilot Killed In Angel Flight Crash In Palo Alto Identified

    REDDING (CBS13) – The Placerville pilot who died in Tuesday’s plane crash in Palo Alto is identified as John Spencer.
    Spencer piloted for Angel Flight West – a program providing free flights for people who need medical treatment.
    According to the group, the pilot had flown a patient and her mom from Redding to Palo Alto for a medical appointment at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital at Stanford.
    The mother and daughter survived the crash and are recovering.

  • Oroville Dam Repairs Surge To $1.1 Billion

    SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — Officials say the cost of dealing with last year’s near-disaster at the nation’s tallest dam in California have climbed to more than $1 billion.
    The state Department of Water Resources said Wednesday construction costs and related expenses are driving the increase at Oroville Dam.

    MODESTO (CBS13) – The search is on for a suspect who has been groping women in Modesto over the past two months.
    The incidents happened along Floyd and Merle avenues east of Oakdale Road in northeast Modesto.
