    ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (CBS13) — Christy Westerdale of Stockton was overjoyed to finally be reunited with her newborn twins Saturday in an Albuquerque hospital. Westerdale gave birth to the twins just hours after surviving a horrific bus crash in New Mexico.

    SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — As the weather warmed up Saturday, Sacramento was on fire watch once again.
    A small grass fire broke out in a field Saturday afternoon at Stevenson Avenue.

  • Magnitude 3.3 Earthquake Hits Bay Area Suburb

    VALLEJO, Calif. (CBS13/AP) — The U.S. Geological Survey says a magnitude 3.3 earthquake struck near Crockett this evening.
    The agency says the quake hit at 5:27 p.m. and its epicenter was 3 miles (5 km) southeast of Vallejo. It had a depth of 5 miles (8 km).
    NBCBayarea.com reports that the temblor was felt over an area stretching from Concord and Oakland to American Canyon. The website says there were no reports of damage so far.

  • US Agency Examines Tires Of Fresno Semi-Trailer That Hit Greyhound Bus

    ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) – A federal agency is intensifying its examination of the front tires of a semi-trailer that veered across a median and smashed into a Greyhound bus, killing eight people and wounding 25 others, an official said.
    The tires will be sent to the National Transportation Safety Board in Washington, D.C., for further examination, said Peter Kotowski, a senior investigator with the agency.

    CLARKSBURG (CBS13) — Bully breed dogs, including pit bulls, are being found with injuries left in fields in the Clarksburg area.
