• Detectives: Tuolumne Woman Had More Than $77K In Money And Property Stolen By Neighbor

  CEDAR RIDGE (CBS13) – A Sonora woman is under arrest on allegations she stole tens of thousands of dollars in money and property from her elderly neighbor.
  The Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Department says the alleged thefts happened between October and December of last year. Detectives say Jessica Corbin Lack was entrusted to watch the home of her 70-year-old neighbor while she was away.

• 2 Years Later, Stockton Police Still Searching For Suspect In Killing Of Retired CHP Officer

  STOCKTON (CBS13) – More than two years later, the homicide of a retired lawman in Stockton remains unsolved.
  The incident happened back on Feb. 17, 2017. Joe Elsey, 87, died after going into cardiac arrest while fighting with a suspect who had gotten into the senior living center along the 800 block of E. March Lane.

• California May Test Organic School Lunch Program

• Man Found Shot Dead In North Sacramento Neighborhood

  SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – Police are investigating a homicide after a man was shot and killed in North Sacramento.
  Officers say it happened shortly after 8 p.m. Thursday on Huber Court near Norwood Avenue.
  When officers got there, they found the man who was shot. Despite lifesaving measures, the man died at the scene.
  Homicide detectives believe this is an isolated incident, but no suspect information has been released at this point.
