  SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — A proposed California state law would make it easier, and legal, for residents to eat roadkill.
  Senate Bill 395, proposed by Senator Bob Archuleta of the 32nd District, would require the Department of Fish and Wildlife to make free permits available to people who accidentally kill deer, elk, antelope, or wild pigs on California roads.

• Detectives: Tahoe City Murder Suspect Found Dead In Church Bathroom After Apparently Shooting Himself

  TAHOE CITY (CBS13) – Detectives say the suspect in the shooting at the Boatworks Mall in Tahoe City has been found dead after apparently committing suicide.
  Thursday, the Placer County Sheriff’s Office announced Salvador Murillo-Cabrera, a 52-year-old Reno resident, was dead. Murillo-Cabrera’s body was found in a bathroom at the S. Peter Canisius Catholic Church in Sun Valley, Nevada a day after the shooting. It appears he shot and killed himself during a church service.

• DMV May Start Letting People Pay With Credit Cards

  SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – The California Department of Motor Vehicles currently does not allow drivers to use credit cards to pay fees, but that could change starting next July.
  Assembly Bill 867 would require the DMV to accept credit cards starting July 1, 2020. The bill introduction comes after Governor Gavin Newsom called out the DMV for some of its practices, including its inability to allow people to pay with plastic.

  EL DORADO COUNTY (CBS13) — Missing El Dorado County woman Brooke Harris was found dead in a church parking lot Wednesday, according to the El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office.
