    SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — Responders from Sacramento are on the ground in North Carolina ready to assist the victims of hurricane Florence.
    A crew of 16 left on September 11th and drove 51 hours to the east coast.

    MODESTO (CBS13) — Cleanup is underway after a massive fire destroyed two businesses in Modesto.

    PLACER COUNTY (CBS13) — A Granite Bay burglary suspect is behind bars after showing up on a homeowner’s Ring doorbell camera.
    According to the Placer County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to an early morning burglary in progress in a Granite Bay gated community. Police said the homeowner received a motion alert on his Ring doorbell camera system which showed a person wearing a mask, gloves, and a gun belt with a gun.

    GREELEY, Colo. (AP) – Andre Lindsey took a reverse and cruised around the left side and into the end zone to take the lead as Sacramento State rallied to beat Northern Colorado 28-25 on Saturday afternoon.

  • Californians Pick Up 367 Tons Of Trash From Waterways

    SACRAMENTO (CBS13) —  As part of Coastal Cleanup Day, volunteers from around Sacramento gathered to remove trash and debris from the American River Parkway.

    SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — It was a big day at the Sacramento Zoo for Goody the reticulated giraffe. She celebrated her 20th birthday.
    The zoo shared pictures from her celebration where her primary keepers Rachel and Linsey made her a “cake: of acacia, mulberry, grapes, banana and omolene “sprinkles.”

    TURLOCK (CBS13) — A pedestrian was reportedly struck by a train at Golden State and Fulkerth, according to the Turlock Fire Department.

    SAN FRANCISCO (AP) – Drivers for the ride-hailing company Uber are frustrated over a glitch that is keeping them from being paid immediately.
    The Mercury News of San Jose reports San Francisco-based Uber was still working on Saturday to fix a problem that was reported Friday.
    An Uber spokesperson said the company has identified an issue with its “Instant Pay” feature and that drivers will be paid. Instant Pay allows drivers to be paid immediately for rides.
