    LATHROP (CBS13) – A San Joaquin County Supervisor was arrested on suspicion of DUI Wednesday afternoon.
    California Highway Patrol says officers responded to a crash along northbound Interstate 5 near Lathrop Road just after 4 p.m. Three cars were involved.

    PLACER COUNTY (CBS13) – Authorities are investigating a crash that killed two people in Placer County along Interstate 80 late Thursday morning.

  • 3.6-Magnitude Quake Near Truckee Felt Across Tahoe Region

    TRUCKEE (CBS13) – A small earthquake was felt across the high country early Thursday morning.
    According to the US Geological Survey, a 3.6 magnitude earthquake shook the region a little after midnight.
    The quake was centered south of Truckee and west of Kings Beach.
    Residents as far away as South Lake Tahoe and Placerville reported feeling shaking.
    No significant damage has been reported as a result of the quake.

    Christine Tudor was working on the iconic Delta King paddlewheeler in Old Sacramento on Monday afternoon when she says the suspect snuck aboard the ship.
    “It was pretty scary,” Tudor, a hostess, said. “He was acting really erratic, you could tell his speech patterns weren’t typical.”

    NORTH HIGHLANDS (CBS13) – Deputies say a man looks to have been intentionally run over in the parking lot of a Sacramento County area fast food restaurant.
    The scene was at the Del Taco on the 4600 block of Watt Avenue.
    According to the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department, deputies responded to the scene just before 8:30 p.m. Wednesday to investigate a report of someone being run over. An injured man was found at the scene – he was soon pronounced dead by medics.

    YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK (CBS13) – Flames and heavy smoke coming from the Ferguson Fire has forced several roads to close and evacuations are now in place.
