  • Man Arrested In Killing Of 59-Year-Old South Sacramento Man

    SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – An arrest has been made in the June murder of a 59-year-old man in south Sacramento.
    The incident happened on June 24. Deputies responded to a home along the 6300 block of Burns Way early that morning to investigate after a man found his friend dead in a home.
    Due to the condition the man was found in, and the condition of the home, detectives believed the 59-year-old man to be a victim of homicide.

  • Body Found On Side Of Auburn Boulevard, Detectives Investigating Possible Homicide

    SACRAMENTO COUNTY (CBS13) – Authorities are investigating a body found on the side of a road Wednesday morning as a possible homicide.
    The scene is on Auburn Boulevard near Myrtle Avenue.
    The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department confirms that a person’s body was found at the scene. No other details about the person have been given at this time.
    Detectives are investigating the death as a possible homicide.

    LODI (CBS13) – A deadly crash has traffic backed up into Lodi Wednesday morning.
    The scene is along northbound Highway 99, neat the Armstrong Road offramp.
    According to California Highway Patrol, the crash happened just before 5:30 a.m. It is unclear what led up to the crash, but a car involved ended up blocking the number 3 lane.

    SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – Oak Park Brewing Company in Sacramento will be closing its doors for good on Sunday.
    “It is with a heavy heart that we must say goodbye. Oak Park Brewing Co. will close it’s doors for the last time Sunday night,” the business posted on Facebook on Tuesday.

    HAYWARD (CBS13) – Authorities have arrested a man accused in the kidnapping of a 16-year-old girl Tuesday out of Hayward.
    Isabelle Epps was reportedly kidnapped at 2 p.m. in Hayward by Antonio Aguilarelizarrag, the man pictured below, according to a statement from the Alameda County Sheriff’s Department.

    SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – Sacramento Fire Department firefighters saved a dog from a hot car Tuesday afternoon and posted the video on social media.

    STOCKTON (CBS13) – Four years after Misty Holt-Singh was killed during a shootout with Stockton police and three bank robbers, her family has settled the lawsuit filed against the City of Stockton.
