• Firefighters Injured Battling 5-Alarm Fire In Stockton

    STOCKTON (CBS13) – A five-alarm grass fire in Stockton has damaged the exterior of three unoccupied buildings at an apartment complex Tuesday afternoon and injured an unknown number of firefighters.
    The fire is along the 3200 block of East Farmington Street.The fire burned through vegetation and into an apartment complex in the area, according to a Stockton Fire Department official. The injured firefighters were treated and released. No civilians were injured.

    SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – Health officials are urging pregnant women to immunized after the death of an infant from whooping cough.
    The California Department of Public Health announced Tuesday that a San Bernardino County infant had recently died from the disease, known as Pertussis.
    It’s the first infant to die from whooping cough since 2016. That year, two deaths from whooping cough were recorded, health officials say.

  • 2 Dead After Small Plane Crashes Near Truckee

    TRUCKEE (CBS13) – Authorities are investigating a fatal plane crash near the town of Truckee Tuesday morning.
    The scene is near Mercer Flats.
    According to a spokesperson with the Federal Aviation Administration, a single-engine Navion-B crashed on the west side of Highway 267 between Truckee and Northstar Resort.

  • Deadly Crash On I-80 Near Dixon Backing Up Traffic To Davis

    DIXON (CBS13) – At least one person is dead after a crash along westbound Interstate 80 near Dixon Tuesday morning.
    The scene is near the I-80 and Milk Farm Road on-ramp.
    According to California Highway Patrol, the crash happened just before 10 a.m. It appears a car rolled over, but no other details about the crash have been released.
    One person has died in the crash, CHP says.

    MODESTO (CBS13) — A Stanislaus County Sheriff’s deputy has been charged with voluntary manslaughter in the shooting death of a Modesto woman.
