  • Hawaiian Airlines Announces Daily Nonstop Flights From Sacramento To Maui

    SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – Sacramentans will soon have a new daily nonstop flight to Maui.
    Hawaiian Airlines announced the plans on Friday. However, vacationers will have to wait until April 1 of next year for the service to begin.

  • Man Accused Of Stealing 14 Show Dogs Arrested, Another At Large

    REDDING (CBS13) – Police have arrested one man and have identified the second man in connection with the theft of a van full of show dogs outside of a Redding In-N-Out in June.
    Fourteen dogs were in a white Dodge cargo van parked at the restaurant in Redding on June 6. Breeds including rat terriers, rottweilers, and yellow labs were in the van hat made a dinner stop on their way to a show in Vallejo.

    AUBURN (CBS13) – As temperatures rise and the Fourth of July holiday approaches, first responders are warning people to be careful along waterways.

    SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – Metro Fire is taking to the skies in its latest effort to keep the public safe.

    SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — In preparation for the Fourth of July, a group of Sacramento agencies wants to remind everyone that even the safest fireworks can be destructive and potentially deadly.

    SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — A measure that would have asked taxpayers to foot the bill for lead paint cleanup that was placed on the ballot by paint companies has been withdrawn.
    The announcement was made by lawmakers on Thursday who say the companies and the jurisdictions affected will continue to work out the issue without a ballot measure.
    The California Secretary of State announced Tuesday that backers of the measure collected enough signatures to make the ballot.

    LODI (CBS13) — Scary moments for residents at a hotel and boarding facility in Lodi Wednesday night after heavy smoke and flames forced nearly 50 people out on the street.

    SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – California’s proposal to extend last call until 4 am in several California cities passed the Assembly Committee on Governmental Organization Thursday, putting it one step closer to becoming law.

  • Sacramento Man Arrested On Charges Of Child Pornography

    SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — A 29-year-old man was arrested Tuesday on charges related to the possession of over 600 obscene images depicting a minor in a sexual act, Sacramento County Sheriffs Department said.
    Detectives from the Sacramento Valley High Tech Crimes Task Force, Internet Crimes Against Children Bureau arrested Jordan Vinson of Sacramento and he is currently in custody at the Sacramento County main jail. Vinson is being held on $250,000 bail.

    SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – The City of Sacramento is changing its parking enforcement and will no longer have weekly restrictions on certain streets.

    ROCKLIN (CBS13) – Authorities are looking for an SUV that looks to have caused a crash on Highway 65 in Rocklin early Thursday afternoon.
