• Police: Man, 87, Found Shot In His Vacaville Apartment

  VACAVILLE (CBS13) – Police in Vacaville say they’re investigating a shooting that left an 87-year-old man hurt.
  The scene is along the 1100 block of Ulatis Drive.
  According to the Vacaville Police Department, the man was found inside his apartment Tuesday morning suffering from a gunshot wound. It is unclear, at this ponit, what led up to the man being shot.

  Recent tests from the California State Water Resources Control Board shows there’s still high levels of E. coli in some parts along the Lower American River.

  OAKLAND (CBS) – Doctors are saying Jahi McMath’s brain showed signs of improvement after being declared brain dead.
  The Oakland teen was declared brain dead back in 2013. But according to doctors at Harvard Medical School in a new report, McMath continued to grow, digest food and fight off infections.

  According to Cal Fire’s latest numbers Tuesday morning, the fire has burned 70,000 acres. The flames remain just 5 percent contained.
