    TUOLUMNE COUNTY (CBS13) — CAL FIRE has issued mandatory evacuations for the Highway 49 Moccasin Fire in Tuolumne County.
    The evacuations are for: Priest Coulterville Road from the 9780 block to the Mariposa County line.  As well as all areas of Jackass Ridge Road and Jackass Creek Road.

  • PG&E Shuts Off Power For 6800 Customers in Chico, Redding, and Red Bluff

    RED BLUFF (CBS 13) — 6800 customers in Chico, Redding, and Red Bluff areas are without power Saturday night. 3200 additional outages are due to the fires in Tehama County.
    CAL FIRE requested that PG&E shut down the power lines in the Red Bluff area as the Stoll Fire and Lane Fires grow. By 8 p.m. Saturday the Lane Fire was 2,500 acres and the Stoll Fire remained at 500 acres.

    LINCOLN (CBS13) — Lincoln Police are looking for a man who attempted to rob the T-Mobile Store on Lincoln Boulevard Saturday afternoon.
    The suspect entered the store around 4 p.m. and cut the security cable on a display cell phone, according to police. A staff member confronted the suspect and he tried to flee.

  • Grass Fire On Southbound 99 Contained, One Structure Damaged

    SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — A two-alarm grass fire near Southbound 99 and Martin Luther King Blvd broke out Saturday evening and damaged one residential structure.
    Sacramento Fire Battalion Chief Jeff Helvin said firefighters contained the fire at approximately four acres with only the one structure damaged.
    No one was hurt in the effected residence and residents had already evacuated by the time fire crews arrived.

    SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – Heads up for EBT users: A temporary outage is planned for this weekend because of a statewide system upgrade.
    The Department of Social Services says those with EBT cards will not be able to use them from 11 p.m. Saturday until 11 p.m. Sunday as they transition from the current EBT vendor to a new vendor.

    ELK GROVE (CBS13) — An Elk Grove woman was indicted Friday on charges of forcing victims to provide labor and related offenses, according to the Department of Justice.
    Firdos Sheikh, 58, was indicted by a federal grand jury in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of California on two counts of forced labor, two counts of alien harboring for financial gain, one count of obstructing a forced labor investigation, and one count of making false statements to federal agents.

  • Two People Shot In The Foot Outside The Boardwalk In Orangevale Friday Night

    ORANGEVALE (CBS13) — A shootout occurred Friday night outside of The Boardwalk in Orangevale.
    According to Sacramento Sheriff Sgt. Grassmann, two groups showed up to a parking lot near Boardwalk and shots were fired in a disagreement.
    One person was shot in the food and went inside The Boardwalk to get help. Officials say the person was bleeding on the dance floor and people inside assumed there was a shooting in the venue.
