    ELK GROVE (CBS13) – Police in Elk Grove have seized dozens of pounds of illegal fireworks ahead of Fourth of July.
    The Elk Grove Police Department said on Wednesday that they’ve fielded more than 60 calls reporting illegal fireworks recently.

  • Winds Force Travis AFB To Reschedule Fourth Of July Drone Light Show

    FAIRFIELD (CBS13) – The drone light show planned at Travis Air Force Base for the Fourth of July has been pushed to tomorrow.
    Organizers say winds forced them to reschedule.
    Intel has been working with the base to put on a light show using drones.

  • Man Found Shot Dead In Del Paso Heights

    SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – Police investigating a shooting that left a man dead late Tuesday night.
    It happened just before 11:30 p.m. on Fell Street and Harris Avenue in the Del Paso Heights neighborhood.
    Officers found one man with a gunshot wound.
    The man was soon pronounced dead at the scene. His identity has not been released at this point.
    Investigators are working to determine a suspect and motive.

  • Search On For Missing Sacramento Boy, 13

    SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – Police are asking for help in finding a missing Sacramento teenager.
    Josiah March, 13, went missing seen at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday in the area of San Juan Road and Rancho Roble way.
    He’s described as a 5’2’’ tall with a thin build. Police have also released a photo of March.
    Anyone who sees March is asked to call 911.

    SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – A car crash in south Sacramento has sent three people to the hospital Wednesday morning.

    GUINDA (CBS13/AP) – Firefighters battling the County Fire that threatens nearly 1,000 homes and buildings say cooler weather may help efforts to corral the flames.

    MODESTO (CBS13) — An early morning fire broke out in a two-story apartment building Wednesday in Modesto.

    OROVILLE (CBS13) — Construction on the damaged Oroville Dam spillway is affecting levels at Lake Oroville just before the holiday celebrations.
    The Department of Water Resources recently released water from Lake Oroville so spillway repairs could continue.
