  • Two suspects shot by police in Rochester

    ROCHESTER, NY (WROC) – Two men were shot while Rochester police were searching a home off North Clinton Avenue Monday morning.
    Officers, including Rochester police and other agencies, were executing a search warrant at a home on Burbank Street around 11:30 a.m. when shots rang out. Police say two suspects were shot by officers and taken to the hospital.
    Investigators say no officers were hurt. The conditions of the suspects are not yet known.

    YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – The man charged with killing a woman last summer and then taking her body to upstate New York was back in a Youngstown courtroom on Monday.
    JeShawn Elliott is charged in the death of Anvia Mickens in August.

    (CBS NEWS) – Target is launching its same-day delivery service Thursday in dozens of stores.
    Reps with the retailer say the same-day delivery services will cover products ranging from groceries to electronics.
    The company previously announced that about half of its stores will have the service beginning in early 2018.

    BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Hundreds of teachers in Buffalo Public schools say student behavior is out of control. That’s the finding of a new disruptive student behavior survey from the Buffalo Teachers Federation.

    ST. LOUIS (AP) — Panera Bread Co. is voluntarily recalling some cream cheese sold in its U.S. stores because of possible bacterial contamination.
    The St. Louis-based company released a statement Sunday saying the recall was initiated after testing from a single production day indicated the presence of Listeria monocytogenes in one variety of its 2 oz. cream cheese.

    HENRIETTA, N.Y. (WROC-TV) – Swedish furniture giant Ikea has sent a scouting crew through Henrietta and examined possible sites for a new store, according to Henrietta Town Supervisor Steve Schultz.

    AMHERST, N.Y. (WIVB) – Hundreds of runners hit the pavement Sunday morning for the Penguin Run benefiting Cradle Beach Camp.
    This year, the race had a special meaning for one Buffalo mother.
    The race was started 24 years ago by Tracy Waring’s brother. Her son, Devin, ran every year.
    Devin died by suicide about a month ago.
    Friends, family, and the community ran in his honor on Sunday.
