    BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – Buffalo Police have arrested a man for falsely reporting an incident and tampering with evidence after they say he vandalized his own vehicle with a misspelled racial slur and reporting it.

    BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) –  Sources tell News 4 the family of Craig Lehner earlier this week filed a claim against the city for wrongful death.

  • Buffalo Police investigating “carjacking” incident at Hertel Avenue and Sunnyside Drive

    BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – Buffalo Police are investigating a robbery that occurred at about 8:25 p.m. Thursday night at the corner of Sunnyside Drive and Hertel Avenue.
    The suspects, who were unknown to the victim, forcibly removed him from his vehicle and drove away with the vehicle, which contained many personal items.
    The stolen vehicle is a black 2005 Nissan Altima.

    LOCKPORT, N.Y. (WIVB) — A fourth-grade student at Anna Merritt Elementary School in Lockport has died.
    “Our thoughts and condolences are with her family during this terribly difficult time,” the school wrote.

    KENMORE, N.Y. (WIVB) — A Kenmore woman was accused of making and using fake money to buy things at Walmart, The Home Depot and CVS.
    According to prosecutors, Krystal Rains, 33, forged $20 bills that she used at the stores.

    JAMESTOWN, N.Y. (WIVB) — A Chautauqua County man was charged with possessing a sexual performance by a child and endangering the welfare of a child.
    New York State police say they received a complaint from a mother. According to the complaint, the woman’s 10-year-old daughter said Peter Baker, 65, lured her to his apartment by offering her $20.
    State police say that instead of giving the girl money, Baker showed her an inappropriate picture on his phone, according to the complaint.

    In a tweet Friday morning, Scout Fantasy said sources tell them the Buffalo Bills center suffered a neck injury.
    At this time, Scout.com is the only outlet that has confirmed Wood was injured. Others have confirmed a Buffalo Bills player suffered a serious injury. The Bills have not confirmed the report.
