    STOCKTON (CBS13) — A man is dead after colliding with a Freightliner in Stockton.
    Police said a Freightliner pulling a set of doubles eastbound on SR-4 went to make a U-turn around 9 p.m. Friday.
    The Freightliner reportedly pulled onto the south shoulder of the roadway and began to make the U-turn. As it was turning and proceeding westbound, a BMW traveling eastbound collided with the second trailer.

    TURLOCK (CBS13) — Turlock police are investigating a hate crime against the city’s mayor, Gary Soiseth after his campaign signs were a target of vandalism.

    RANCHO CORDOVA (CBS13) — The community continues to mourn the loss of Sacramento County Sheriff’s Deputy Mark Stasyuk, who was shot and killed in the line of duty Monday.
    A candlelight vigil was held in Rancho Cordova Saturday for Stasyuk in Lincoln Village Community Park.

    STOCKTON (CBS13) — Police in Stockton arrested two men after finding a loaded handgun in their car.

    Officers say 35-year-old Michael Chavez and 27-year-old Alexander Bristol were stopped for a minor traffic violation in the area of Holiday Drive and Banbury Drive around 4:30 p.m. Friday.
    A search of their car revealed a loaded 9-millimeter handgun.
    Officers also searched the suspects’ home where they found a AR 15 rifle and several high capacity magazines.
