• Citrus Heights Officers Rescue Unconscious Driver From Burning Car

    CITRUS HEIGHTS (CBS13) – The quick work of two Citrus Heights police officers helped save an unconscious driver from a fiery crash early Thursday morning.
    Citrus Heights police say officers were at the scene of a different call near Auburn Boulevard and Greenback Lane when, around 4 a.m., they heard screeching tires. A passerby soon called to report that a car was on fire.

    SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – Governor Jerry Brown vetoed a gun violence bill that would have expanded the list of people who could request that guns be taken away from a dangerous individual.

  • 4th Suspect Arrested In Murder Of Lodi Doctor Thomas Shock

    LODI (CBS13) – A fourth person has been arrested in connection to the murder case of Lodi doctor Thomas Shock.
    Around 10 p.m. Wednesday night, Lodi police say they took 26-year-old Sacramento resident Raymond Jacquett into custody. He’s facing charges of murder and conspiracy to commit murder.
    Lodi authorities previously said three other men – Robert Lee, Christopher Costello and Mallory Stewart – had been arrested in connection to the case.

    STOCKTON (CBS13) – A driver has died after an early morning crash in Stockton near Woodbridge and Hildebrand roads on Thursday.

    Shoppers lined up early outside the store on the corner of Elk Grove Boulevard and Bruceville Road.

    MODESTO (CBS13) – A driver was hospitalized after a suspected DUI crash late Wednesday night.
    The incident happened on the Pelandale Avenue overpass in northwest Modesto.

    RESCUE (CBS13) – 4:30 p.m. UPDATE: One adult male civilian sustained minor injuries from the fire, according to El Dorado Hills Fire public information officer Marshall Cox.
