    DENVER (CBS4)– A shooting near City Park in Denver has left a father of seven dead. The shooting happened Friday night around 8 p.m. near 28th Avenue and Albion Street.

    DENVER (AP) — Colorado will not offer an online map of oil and gas pipelines in the wake of a fatal house explosion blamed on a gas leak, Gov. John Hickenlooper said Tuesday, citing concerns about security and theft.

    BOULDER, Colo. (CBS4)– Less than one month after he was arrested for domestic violence, a suspended football player at the University of Colorado has been arrested again.
    Anthony Julmisse, 19, was arrested on Saturday for robbery, trespass with intent to commit a crime, criminal mischief and careless driving.

    ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (AP) — The Denver Broncos’ battered defensive front got a big boost Tuesday with the return of pass rusher Shaq Barrett from a hip injury that had sidelined him since the spring.

    PARKER, Colo. (CBS4)– The FBI continues to search for two man who have been dubbed the “5 O’Clock Bandits.”
    Investigators believe the two have robbed six banks in Parker, Aurora, Thornton and Centennial.

    DENVER (CBS4)– An 11-year veteran of the Denver Police Department drowned while boating in a lake in western Nebraska on Sunday.
    Denver Police Officer Joseph Teeter of Littleton was boating with his longtime girlfriend on Lake McConaughy, located located nine miles north of Ogallala, Neb.

    PUEBLO, Colo. (AP) — An investigation is underway after sheriff’s deputies in southern Colorado were involved in a fatal shooting.
    The Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office says one person, whose name and age have not been released, was shot in a home in Colorado City on Monday evening. None of the deputies involved was injured, and the Pueblo Police Department is leading the investigation.

  • Lake Plan Limits Visitors To 615 Per Day, Requires Permit

    GLENWOOD SPRINGS, Colo. (CBS4) — After overcrowding, trail graffiti, vandalism and other damage to Hanging Lake, the U.S. Forest Service is proposing visitor limits, fees and a mandatory shuttle program to help combat the crowds. Up to 1,200 visitors venture to the lake a day during the summer.
