    DENVER (CBS4)– A missing Denver businessman has resurfaced after he went missing earlier this week. Stacy VanTuyl is said to be disoriented and while his family still isn’t sure what happened, they are happy to have him back.
    VanTuyl, 44, went missing early Wednesday morning after he left home to open his BBQ restaurant at 44th and Lowell Boulevard.

  • Too Much Standing Linked To Heart Disease, Study Says

    CBS Local — A new look at the health of Canadian workers suggests that people who mainly stand to do their job are more at risk for heart disease than workers who sit.
    Researchers followed 7,300 workers in Ontario, Canada who were all reportedly free of heart disease when the study began in 2003. Over the next 12 years, nine percent of the workers were found to have a job that required them to predominantly stand all day and 37 percent of those surveyed sat most of the day.

    DENVER (CBS4) – One in four American adults who “trim up, down below” hurt themselves in the process. Ouch.
    The numbers come from a new survey of more than 7,500 people in the Journal of the American Medical Association Dermatology.

    LYONS, Colo. (CBS4) – Elk hunting at Rabbit Mountain in Boulder County will begin in less than a month.

    BEAVER CREEK, Colo. (CBS4) – Officials with Colorado Parks and Wildlife are trying to determine if someone intentionally fed bears in the Beaver Creek area.
    Three bear cubs were orphaned when their mom was found dead in June. The Vail Daily reported their bellies were full of store-bought cherries. It’s an indication someone illegally provided the food to the animals.

    DENVER (CBS4) – The City of Denver is buying a longtime eyesore on East Colfax Avenue.

    Police have been working to clean up the crime-ridden spot where a strip club used to exist near the intersection of East Colfax Avenue and Verbena Street. The building has sat vacant for a while but the former club’s signs still remain there.
    Neighbors say they hope the purchase leads to fewer crimes in the area.

    DENVER (CBS4) – Neither the Colorado Department of Transportation nor drivers will be on the hook for the tolls racked up by cars that detoured around a fiery tanker truck crash earlier this year.

    DINOSAUR NATIONAL MONUMENT, Colo. (CBS4) – A fish hatchery, trail, and stream are now closed following a septic line break.
    Wastewater from public restrooms, staff housing and the hatchery facility was found leaking from a leach field Wednesday.
    Officials with the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service, which manages the Jones Hole Fish Hatchery, closed the hatchery today.
    Jones Hole Creek and the 4.25-mile trail next to it are both closed as well.
