    COPENHAGEN, Denmark (AP) — Danish authorities on Friday filed another charge against the inventor of a home-made submarine who is suspected in the death of Swedish journalist Kim Wall whose headless torso was found off Copenhagen, police said.

  • Fort Collins Considers Smoking Restrictions Roll Back

    FORT COLLINS, Colo. (CBS4)– The City of Fort Collins is considering rolling back some of its smoking restrictions in the downtown area.

    DENVER (CBS4)– Flame retardant chemicals used in products like yoga mats, sofas, car seats, and even phone cases are being linked to infertility, according to a new study. Researchers at Harvard University say organophosphate flame retardants (PFRs) found in a patient’s body lowered their chances of a successful pregnancy.

    WINTER PARK, Colo. (CBS4) – The return of the ski train to Winter Park is being called a success. Amtrak announced the train will take skiers and boarders to the slopes again this ski season.

    ASPEN, Colo. (CBS4) – A Pennsylvania woman’s death in Colorado’s high country last week was caused by acute altitude sickness.

    BOULDER, Colo. (AP) — A former school bus aide who pleaded guilty to assaulting an autistic student on his way to and from school is going to jail.

    DENVER (CBS4) – After several days with chances for showers and thunderstorms, a lack of moisture across Colorado means a virtually dry forecast through the weekend.   • Army: Soldier Killed In Colorado Training Accident Was Shot

    FORT CARSON, Colo. (AP) — The military says a soldier who was killed during a training exercise in Colorado was accidentally shot.
    The Army on Thursday identified the soldier as 20-year-old Spc. Matthew R. Turcotte of North Smithfield, Rhode Island.
    The Army says Turcotte was killed at about 2:30 a.m. Wednesday during an exercise using live ammunition at Fort Carson, an infantry post just outside Colorado Springs. No other details were released. An investigation is underway.

    SAN DIEGO (AP) — A California teenager charged with smuggling a Bengal tiger into the United States told a judge Thursday that he bought the animal on the streets of Tijuana, Mexico, where several of the endangered animals have been spotted this year.
    Luis Eudoro Valencia was charged after border officials said they found the furry cub early Wednesday lying on the floor of a car heading from Mexico to California.
