    Benevento was elected to the school board twice. He represented Lone Tree, Highlands Ranch and Castle Pines.
    On Tuesday night, Benevento, along with the rest of the school board, hired a new superintendent — Erin Kane.
    Kane currently serves as the executive director of schools for American Academy in Douglas County.

    DENVER (AP) — The military says firefighting foam containing toxic chemicals may have been released from an Air Force base near two Colorado communities where the chemicals were detected in drinking water systems.
    Officials said Wednesday they identified six sites at Peterson Air Force Base where the foam may have escaped. They recommended a follow-up investigation.

    DENVER (AP) – Colorado health officials said it’s highly likely that trace amounts of toxic chemicals found in three drinking water systems came from firefighting foam used at a nearby Air Force base.

    DENVER (CBS4) – A Denver jury has found a man guilty of sexually assaulting a woman at gunpoint near Sloan’s Lake in March 2011.
