    Elbow Injury Sidelines Broncos Wideout Bennie Fowler
    ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (AP) – Denver Broncos wide receiver Bennie Fowler will be sidelined for several weeks after breaking a bone in his left elbow, coach Gary Kubiak said Saturday.
    Fowler, the Broncos’ No. 3 receiver and a key special teams player, was injured while covering a punt during the third quarter of Denver’s 22-0 preseason win at Chicago on Thursday.
    He hit the ground hard after being blocked and had to brace himself with his arm, but continued playing.

    LAKEWOOD Colo. (CBS4) – Police are investigating an officer-involved shooting outside of a convenience store in Lakewood left a suspect dead.
    A man who was sitting inside of an old pickup truck parked outside of the 7-Eleven on Sheridan Boulevard and West 1st Avenue was shot during a confrontation with officers that lasted several hours. Police on Saturday afternoon said the suspect succumbed to his injuries.
