It's just every kid's dream: grow up, start blogging about your stock picks, and then one day — maybe, just maybe — you'll have your own exchange-traded fund.
Like I said, it's every kid's dream, and Eddy Elfenbein, writer of popular financial blog Crossing Wall Street just made that dream come true.
For the past decade or so, Elfenbein has created an annual list of 20 stocks he likes. Every year 5 of those stocks are switched out, and throughout that year the portfolio is rebal

This 20-year-old says he dropped out of NYU to start his own hedge fund
A college dropout is prepping his own hedge fund.
Julian Marchese, 20, left New York University last year to focus on his business, Marchese Investments.
"NYU is extremely expensive," Marchese told Business Insider. "I felt that the next three years that I would have spent at school I could have spent on building [investment] strategies."
Becoming an entrepreneur fulfills a lifelong dream, he added.
"I like making my own hours," he said. "I can work as hard as I want to. There's no office I have -
Harvard economist Rogoff: I'm 'nervous' about Trump winning
Kenneth Rogoff isn't the kind of guy who makes political endorsements. As a public policy professor at Harvard University and the former chief economist at the International Monetary Fund, he tries to avoid taking political positions at all.
But this year is different.
He says the prospect of Republican nominee Donald Trump winning the presidency has him "nervous."
"It just creates so much uncertainty," Rogoff told Business Insider. "I don't know what his economic policies would be. I know what -
Here’s how dramatic BlackBerry’s fall has actually been
BlackBerry is done making phones. The Canadian telecoms company this week announced that it will no longer manufacture its own handset hardware, and will instead outsource that production to third-party partners. This doesn’t mean that BlackBerry phones will no longer exist — the firm had already started this process with this year’s DTEK50 — but the news caps a tremendous decline for what was once the world’s biggest smartphone maker.

Bailing out Deutsche Bank would be a terrible decision for Angela Merkel
Deutsche Bank hasn't had an easy few days.
But that doesn't mean German Chancellor Angela Merkel will be coming to the rescue.
Two weeks ago it was reported that the troubled German lender might be slapped with fines worth $14 billion by US regulators over bad derivative products from the financial crisis. Shares plunged to record lows in the aftermath.
Plus, Bloomberg reported this week that about 10 hedge funds have moved to limit exposure to the bank and have withdrawn funds, fearin -
Virgin Money’s CEO on beating fintech disruptors and how ‘lounges’ are changing banking
Jayne-Anne Gadhia is one of the few female CEOs at the helm of a FTSE 250 company. Traditionally trained as an accountant with Ernst and Young, she moved into marketing at Norwich Union in the late eighties. She has since climbed her way up the career ladder to become Virgin Money’s CEO.
Banking is still a traditionally male dominated environment, and so it’s unsurprising that self-confidence is a natural trait for Gadhia – she previously told the BBC this is due to being -
‘Deliveroo is too expensive’, claims Hungryhouse as it switches its slogan
Hungryhouse today (30 September) launched a ‘reality TV-style’ campaign, which incorporates its new ‘Love Takeaway’ slogan. The campaign aims to move the food platform from a product focused strategy to one that prioritises the customer first.
The brand, which provides a platform for the online ordering of takeaway food in the UK, has moved away from actors by taking ‘normal’ people off the street for the campaign; a move it hopes will create a ‘more au -
