Telford Tigers 2 took to the ice on Saturday evening for their final fixture of the 2021/22 Laidler league campaign.With second placed Hull Jets trailing Tigers by only two points, it wasn’t just a simple two points Tigers needed in order to clinch the league title. Guildford Flames ice hockey club have signed Canadian forward Turner Ripplinger. The 5’10”, 170lb winger is fresh off his 3rd season with University of Regina Cougars where he had 8 goals and 19 points in 20 starts after a rookie season in 2019-2020 where he opened with 2 goals and 12 points before 2020-2021 where only training was allowed during the Covid season pause.

Flames had to tie it from a goal down 4 times on Sunday night, and never had a lead through 60 minutes, but got the home ice win just under 3 minutes into overtime when Levi Cable bagged the decider against the Nottingham Panthers.
