Obama's meeting with the Spanish King was overshadowed by this massive chandelier
On Sunday, US President Barack Obama met with Spain's King Felipe at the Palacio Real de Madrid for a bilateral meeting.
This was Obama's first visit to Spain as president. Until then, it was the only major European country he had not traveled to during his two terms.
"We have had a difficult week back in the United States, so my trip is a little abbreviated but I thought it was very important for me to come here, given the extraordinary friendship and alliance between Spain and t -
Wall Street thinks that Twitter selling itself is 'inevitable' — but not this year (TWTR)
Wall Street thinks Twitter will need to sell itself, but that it won't happen this year.
"We think that if current user trends continue, M&A is inevitable for Twitter," SunTrust analyst Robert Peck wrote in a note to investors Monday. "However, given the CEO’s <1 yr tenure and a newly constituted board, we think an acquisition of Twitter in 2016 is highly unlikely."
Twitter has struggled with user growth and engagement, sending the stock on a downward spiral during -
Hard drive maker Seagate is firing 6,500 employees and the stock is soaring
Data storage company Seagate announced its preliminary financial results for the fourth quarter and in addition to higher than expected revenue guidance, the firm said it was cutting 14% of its workforce.
The move is a continuation of Seagate's plan to slim down the costs of its business and provide significant savings for the firm.
This is the second round of announced layoffs in a few weeks, as the firm said it was laying off 1,600 emloyees on June 29.
"In addition to the Company’s restr -

"Tesla has not received any communication from the SEC regarding this issue," a company represe -

Why Kate Thornton and her celebrity friends believe a cashback brand can succeed
With financial backing from her celebrity friends (pictured) including the Nicole and Natalie Appleton (of All Saints fame), Tamzin Outhwaite, Myleene Klass and Denise van Outen, the brand is a cashback rewards retailer focused entirely on female shoppers.
Thornton says the average family could save up to £800 a year using TBSeen, which works by combining the offerings of 500 brands – including Marks & Spencer, Ocado, Morrisons and Nike – into one shop. In return for t -

Mastercard on how it plans to make marketing a revenue generator
The budget shift has slowly happened over the past three years as Rajamannar looked at how and where MasterCard spent its marketing money. He found that too much was going into “warm, fuzzy” advertising that built the brand but not the business.
“We need the brand to strengthen as the card is used,” he explained to a packed audience at a ‘Wake up with The Economist’ event at the Cannes Lions festival in France last month.
And so MasterCard began testing a new -
