Coca-Cola: ‘Coke Zero Sugar will reinvigorate the category but won’t kill Coke Life’
The campaign, which is accompanied by the strapline ‘tastes more like Coke and looks more like Coke’, was unveiled earlier this week. It marks the company’s biggest marketing investment in a new product launch in a decade.
It marks the next step in the company’s strategy as it aims to move from “offering choice to shaping choice” and help consumers reduce their sugar consumption by actively encouraging more people to choose a no-sugar option.

UK marketers least confident on data use
Marketers in the UK are least likely of any country to view their company’s use of data and analytics as more advanced than competitors, or consider their marketing leadership as progressive in this area, according to research from marketing platform DataXu shown exclusively to Marketing Week.
The report shows 61% of businesses in the UK believe their company is more digitally advanced than competitors or the average company, compared with 70% of respondents in the US, 73% in France, -
Why marketers are opting for upskilling
Uncertainty following the vote to leave the European Union, coupled with the relentless pace of change, means there is a real business case for marketers to invest in upskilling rather than spending resources on searching for new talent.
Given that 35% of employers are unsure if they will be able to recruit talent with key marketing skills this year, according to a study conducted ahead of the EU referendum on 23 June by recruitment specialist Hays, the need for on-the-job le -
The Aussie CMO getting under the skin of Brexit Britain
UK consumers and markets are reeling from the decision of voters to leave the European Union (EU) last month, as politicians and business leaders alike come to terms with the realities of a deeply divided nation. This makes Ed Smith’s story all the more intriguing.

How to get rid of your 'ums' and 'likes'
For many of us, what we say is punctuated and disjointed by those little 'ums' and 'likes' that get unwittingly sprinkled through otherwise well-constructed sentences./>
”I was like… planning to like say that, but ummmm he just… like said it before me.” They are verbal crutches, with 'like' being particularly common amongst younger people.Though certainly not the most criminal of linguistic lapses, this habit can be a drawback in professional life, detracting from t -
Homebuilders are super-bullish on the housing market right now, but they could be wrong
Homebuilders may be too optimistic about how quickly they can revive the single-family housing market.
In a note on Wednesday, Capital Economics examined the relationship between single-family housing starts and homebuilder confidence.
There's an inventory crunch in lower-priced starter homes, caused in part by builders who shifted production towards more expensive properties after the financial crisis. Builders realized that the crisis burned first-time buyers the most, an -
Strengths vs Skills: what’s the difference?
If you're heading to an interview or an appraisal you may be asked to talk about your strengths, but many people are confused about the difference between strengths and skills. That's because it IS confusing: people all over the internet are defining skills, clarifying strengths, underlining the differences and at the same time using them synonymously. />
Skills are often described as something you learn how to do through repetition for which there is a best practice or a set way of doing so -
M&S blames Brexit and poor weather as fashion sales spectacularly fall
To put the latest drop in fashion sales into perspective, M&S suffered only a 2.7% fall in GM sales in its fourth quarter.Food has been the brand’s saving grace over recent years as its fashion arm consistently fails to ignite. However, for the first quarter like-for-like food sales were also down by 0.9%. Meanwhile, total UK sales fell 1.1% and were down 4.3% at established stores.
The first quarter performance hasn’t gone down well with shareholders either. In early morning tra -
