    SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – Sacramento lost out to Eugene, Oregon to host the 2020 U.S. Olympic Team Trials for Track & Field.
    The trials were originally awarded to the Los Angeles-area, but questions arose about whether the stadium at Mt. San Antonio College would be ready. Legal challenges about the funding held up construction.
    USA Track and Field put the 2020 trials up for bid again in May and Sacramento, Eugene, and Austin all submitted.

    SACRAMENTO (CBS13)- Sacramento voters will decide on two ballot measures in November.
    City Council voted Tuesday to put Measure U and the Sacramento City Government Accountability and Efficiency Act on the November 6 ballot.

    GRASS VALLEY (CBS13) – A 23-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of having an inappropriate relationship with a 14-year-old girl, detectives say.
    The Nevada County Sheriff’s Office alleges Grass Valley resident Patrick Denboske had been carrying on the relationship for months. Detectives say Denboske continued to try and contact the girl even after her parents learned of the situation.

  • Retired Doctor, 67, Shot And Killed In Front Of His Lodi Home

    LODI (CBS13) – A retired doctor was shot and killed in front of his Lodi home Wednesday night.
    The incident happened just before 10 p.m. on Rivergate Drive off West Turner Road.
    Officers say they were responding to a report of gunshots in the area when they found a 67-year-old man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds in front of a home. He was later pronounced dead at the scene.

    The incident happened just before 10 p.m. on Rivergate drive off West Turner Road.

    SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) – Amazon and nearly two dozen district attorneys in California have reached a $1.5 million settlement over claims the online retail giant sold plastic products with the misleading claim that they were biodegradable.

    SHASTA COUNTY (CBS13) – The 20 people listed as missing in Shasta County after the Carr Fire have all been found and accounted for.
    The people had been reported missing by family and friends as the Carr Fire burned through several towns, including Redding, French Gulch, Old Shasta, and Keswick.
