    HEALDSBURG (CBS SF) — It was a typical early morning 911 call for Healdsburg emergency dispatcher Linda Haviland.
    Haviland told the Santa Rosa Press Democrat that she got a call around 2:13 a.m. Friday, reporting a black bear wandering around the streets of Healdsburg near the Russian River.For the next 45 minutes, police watched as the bear harmlessly meandered near downtown and at point even running through the back parking lot of the police station.

  • Major Construction Project On Folsom Boulevard Planned Until October

    SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – A major construction project along Folsom Boulevard in Sacramento will last into the fall and will impact the traffic in and around Sac State.
    Construction crews will start two projects, The Ramona Avenue Extension and the Folsom Boulevard Complete Streets Rehabilitation, in mid-May on Folsom Boulevard between 65th Street and Hornet Drive. The projects require shifting traffic, closing lanes and intersections, and detouring cars, bikes, and pedestrians.

  • All Sacramento International Airport ATMs Are Out Of Service

    SACRAMENTO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (CBS13) – All airport ATMs are out of service until the first week of June.
    The Sacramento County Airport System posted the news on its website.
    The airport is switching from Chase machines to Bank of America machines in both terminals and the rental car center. The new BOA ATMs will be set up on June 1 in all terminal public areas. They’ll be operational in all post-security areas and the rental car facility on June 5.

  • Boil Water Notice Issued For Some Communities North Of South Lake Tahoe

    SOUTH LAKE TAHOE (AP) – A northwestern Nevada county has issued a boil water notice for the Cave Rock area and other nearby communities.
    Douglas County Public Works says the order is due to a computer crash at the Cave Rock water treatment plant and there is no change in the quality of water.
    Melissa Blosser, the county’s public information officer, says the error occurred and was detected on Wednesday.
    The order is in effect in Cave Rock, Skyland, Uppaway Estates and Zephyr Cove.

    STOCKTON (CBS13) – A four-year-old girl is in the hospital following a hit and run crash in Stockton.
    It happened in the area of Cleveland and California streets Thursday afternoon.
    Police say the girl was riding her bike when she was hit by a van. The driver sped off in a green or light blue Chevy Astro.
    The little girl is in the hospital with major injuries.

    The Social Security Administration released the list Thursday, a week after releasing the nationwide list. It based the list on Social Security card applications- which are typically done in the hospital before a newborn is discharged.

    FOLSOM (CBS13) – Evening service will start on SacRT’s Gold Line to Folsom on June 17.
    The Sacramento Regional Transit District made the announcement Thursday.
