    MODESTO (CBS13) – Firefighters have doused an early morning fire that broke out at a building that houses a hookah lounge.
    The scene is along the 900 block of Yosemite Boulevard. Modesto Fire says crews responded to the scene just after 3 a.m. Tuesday. The fire then went to three alarms.

  • Police: Man Suspected Of DUI Strikes, Kills Zocalo Bartender

    SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – A man is facing DUI and manslaughter charges after police say he struck and killed a Zocalo bartender this weekend.
    Police say 38-year-old Xoury Soukoang hit Antonio Navarette at El Camino Avenue and Evergreen Street Saturday morning.Navarette was found unresponsive and EMS crews could not revive him.
    Police arrested Soukoang on felony charges of DUI and vehicular manslaughter. He’s being held at Sacramento County Jail on $350,000 bail.

    ALPINE (AP) — Authorities have found the body of a skier who vanished two months ago in California’s Sierra Nevada.
