There are at least eight cases across the state.There are three cases in Larimer County, two cases each in Bent and Weld Counties, and one in Douglas County.August and September are generally the two months where most cases of West Nile are reported.Last year, the State of Colorado reported 101 human cases of West Nile, including three deaths.

    CSP: Cyclist Appears To Be At Fault In Deadly Collision
    BOULDER, Colo. (CBS4)– Investigators with the Colorado State Patrol believe the cyclist killed in a collision with a car during the Ironman Triathlon in Boulder on Sunday was at fault.
    State troopers told CBS4’s Tom Mustin that it appears the rider, Michelle Walters of McCook, Neb. went outside of clearly market lanes and swerved into the road where she was struck by a truck.
    Troopers do not believe the truck driver will face charges but did confirm the investigation is ongoing.

    DENVER (AP) — Vail Resorts will buy Whistler-Blackcomb Holdings, the Canadian ski resort company that operated the site of the 2010 Winter Olympics, for $1.06 billion.
    The companies announced the purchase Monday. The boards of Whistler and Vail Resorts, North America’s largest resort operator, unanimously approved it.
    Vail Resorts currently operates nine mountain resorts and two ski areas in the U.S. and Australia.
    The deal is expected to close in the fall.

    The incident occurred about 8 p.m. Sunday in the town of Mack in western Colorado.
    The sheriff’s office says the woman was burned but her injuries were not life-threatening. She was taken to a local hospital.

    It was on Aug. 5 of last year when three million gallons of water and mine debris began pouring from the Gold King Mine. It turned the Animas and San Juan rivers into a frightening stew of arsenic, zinc, iron and copper.
