  • Buffalo man pleads guilty in shooting death of Gowanda man

    BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – A Buffalo man has pleaded guilty in the fatal shooting of a Gowanda man on the Cattaraugus Reservation.
    Daryl Bland, 23, pleaded guilty to first-degree manslaughter in Erie County Court Tuesday.
    Bland fatally shot Dustin Sharp, 31, of Gowanda, in Oct. 26.
    He faces a maximum of 25 years in prison when he is sentenced May 8.

    ALBANY, N.Y. (WIVB) — A verdict has been reached in the corruption trial of former aide to Gov. Andrew Cuomo, Joseph Percoco.
    He’s been found guilty on two counts of conspiracy and one count of solicitation of a bribe. He was not found guilty of extortion.
    Percoco is accused of collecting hundreds of thousands of dollars in bribes.
    Three others are accused in the case.

    WEST SENECA, N.Y. (WIVB) — Taxpayers in West Seneca will now be dishing out less money to pay for the town’s new library and community center.

    WARSAW, N.Y. (WIVB) – The Monroe County Medical Examiner’s Office has ruled the fatal shooting at the home of a town official in the Town of Perry was a homicide.
