    FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE) – The jury’s out in a child sex case that could lead to the longest punishment in California history.
    Forty-two-year-old Cornelio Jimenez, of Fresno, was found guilty of numerous child molestation and child pornography charges.
    A Fresno County jury found Jimenez guilty of 34 felony counts of lewd acts on a minor, one felony count of possession of more than 600 images of child pornography and one felony count of producing child pornography.

    YOUNTVILLE (KRON) – The Veterans Home of California Yountville is on lockdown Friday after reports of an active shooter who is holding 3 people hostage.

    NEW YORK (AP) — The jury in the bribery trial of a former top aide to Democratic New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo has deliberated a fifth day without signs of discord revealed earlier in the week.
    Jurors at Joseph Percoco’s trial asked for transcripts of testimony but otherwise worked quietly for nearly four hours Thursday.

    NEW YORK (WROC) – After attacks downstate, the DEC has issued its annual guidance to avoid conflicts with coyotes.
    Monday, authorities told CBS New York that a coyote, responsible for biting eight people, a dog and some sheep, tested positive for rabies.
    The rabid animal was killed when it bit a police officer who in turn shot the coyote.

    DALLAS (CBS) — Health officials are warning that thousands of cheerleaders who attended a national competition in Texas last month may have been exposed to the mumps.  According to a letter issued by the Texas Department of State Health Services, someone with the illness attended the National Cheerleaders Association (NCA) All-Star National Championship in Dallas and may have put anyone who competed or was there from Feb. 23 to 25 at risk.

  • Niagara County Jail offering treatment for opioid-addicted inmates

    LOCKPORT, N.Y. (WIVB) — The Niagara County Sheriff’s Office is trying something new to help inmates battling opioid addiction.
    Inmates will be given access to treatment behind bars.
    The program kicked off a couple months ago with the help of a federal grant. It will offer addicted inmates a chance to work on their sobriety through group and one-on-one therapy.

  • Woman dragged underneath car and killed in North Tonawanda

    North Tonawanda Police are investigating a fatal accident where a 48-year-old woman was killed when her 10-year-old daughter ran over her with her car Thursday night.
    Investigators say the accident happened in an alley between 14th and 15th Avenue.
