    WYOMING COUNTY, NY (WROC) – Cleanup is underway in Wyoming County after Thursday’s train derailment.
    Two crew members were hurt when the eastbound freight train went off the tracks in a wooded area near the border of Attica and Alexander.

  • 13 killed in helicopter crash after Mexican quake

    MEXICO CITY (AP) — A military helicopter carrying officials assessing damage from a powerful earthquake crashed Friday in southern Mexico, killing 13 people and injuring 15, all of them on the ground.
    The Oaxaca state prosecutor’s office said in a statement that five women, four men and three children were killed at the crash site and another person died later at the hospital.

    BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — One person is in critical condition after being struck by a car Friday evening, according to Town of Tonawanda Police.
    Police say a man in a motorized wheelchair was hit just before 6 p.m. on Friday in the area of Vulcan St. near the GM Plant.
    He suffered a possible head and chest injury and was taken to ECMC in an ambulance.

    DUNKIRK, N.Y. (WIVB) – An elderly woman was found deceased in a Friday afternoon residential fire in Dunkirk.
