  YUBA CITY (CBS13) – A bear cub somehow managed to find its way to Yuba City.
  City of Yuba City officials say, Tuesday night, the police department got a call about a bear sighting near Buttehouse Road and Harter Parkway. Officers responded and confirmed that, indeed, there was a bear in the neighborhood.

  SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – Prosecutors will be seeking the death penalty against the Golden State Killer suspect Joseph DeAngelo.
  The accused Golden State Killer/East Area Rapist was back in Sacramento County court early Wednesday afternoon for a settlement conference. Six district attorneys agreed to consolidate the case to Sacramento.
  DeAngelo appeared in court for the brief hearing where the DAs announced they would seek the death penalty in the event he is convicted.

• Dog Rescued From Sacramento Weir

  WEST SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – A dog was rescued Wednesday after falling into the water below the Sacramento Weir.
  That dog and another were running on the bridge over the weir Wednesday morning when one of the dogs, a German shepherd, was likely spooked by passing cars and jumped into the weir, said a witness.
  The other one looked confused and also jumped.
  “I walked down here and I could hear him howling and I looked down and there he is,” the witness said.

  GRANITE BAY (CBS13) – A 28-year-old man was arrested after deputies say he left his ID at the scene of a burglary in Granite Bay.

  The U.S. Anti-Doping Agency, which administers the UFC’s drug testing policy, announced the ban and Dillashaw’s decision Tuesday.
