• Sierra Weather: Winter Weather Advisory This Week

  SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for the Sierra from 11 a.m. Monday until 11 a.m. Tuesday.
  The National Weather Service says mountain snow will be heaviest Monday afternoon and evening.The snow is expected to impact road conditions in the higher elevations.
  Drivers are warned to expect travel delays and chain controls.

  SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — Sacramento Police have made an arrest in an attempted kidnapping.
  20-year-old Joseph Dumarce is behind bars, accused of trying to kidnap a 13-year-old girl Friday morning on the 2200 block of John Still Drive.

• CHP: Tow Truck That Plunged Into Sacramento River Lifted Out, Body Of Missing Woman Found Inside

  SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — The tow truck that plunged off the Pioneer Bridge and went into the Sacramento River was fully lifted out of the water Sunday morning. The body of Roselyn Sharma was inside, California Highway Patrol says.
  The vehicle is now being taken away for evidence.

  The annual event, held at the San Joaquin County Fairgrounds, celebrates the county’s history with asparagus.

  SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — Placer County deputies arrested 44-year-old Robert Weathers for allegedly throwing gasoline on people and trying to light it on fire.
  It happened on Friday in Newcastle.
  Deputies say someone hired Weathers to do some yard work, when he suddenly poured gasoline on the homeowner’s driveway, in a garage, and on a truck. They say when the homeowner confronted Weathers, he then threw the gasoline and attempted to light it.

  PHOENIX (CBS13) — Phoenix police are not recommending any charges against former NBA player Mike Bibby following an investigation into accusations of sexual abuse and harassment of a teacher at a suburban high school.

  SACRAMENTO (CBS13) —  A team of divers partially lifted the tow truck that’s been sitting at the bottom of the Sacramento River for the past two-and-a-half weeks, although the vehicle remains submerged under water.

  SUTTER CREEK (CBS13) — The California Highway Patrol was forced to use a helicopter to locate and rescue a stranded motorist.
  This happened Thursday on Mitchell Mine Road, just east of Sutter Creek

  WOODLAND (CBS13) — A small plane crashed Saturday morning into a field in western Davis.
