  • Search On At Folsom Lake For Man, 29, Who Went Missing On Water

    FOLSOM (CBS13) – Search crews are back out on Folsom Lake on Monday to look for a man who reportedly went into the water and never came out over the weekend.
    Authorities say a 29-year-old man was out with some friends on a personal watercraft Sunday evening when he disappeared.
    A search was started on Sunday but was called off after it got too dark.
    The El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office, fire department and California Highway Patrol are now helping in the search.

  • Del Paso Heights Standoff That Started With Shots Fired At Taxi Driver Ends Peacefully

    SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – A standoff came to a peaceful end in Del Paso Heights early Monday morning after shots were fired at a taxi driver.
    Police responded just after midnight on Grand Avenue. Officers say the suspect got out of a taxi and went into a home before coming back out with a firearm – and shot at the driver.
    A SWAT team arrived when the suspect refused to leave the home.

  • Nevada City Native Wins Acura Grand Prix Of Long Beach Again

    LONG BEACH (CBS13) — Andrew Rossi won the Grand Prix of Long Beach on Sunday for the second straight year.
    The native of Nevada City led on all but five of the 85 laps.

    SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — Detectives from the Sacramento Sheriff’s Department are investigating a homicide in South Sacramento.
    Police say they received a call from a man on the 7000 block of Peevey Courton Sunday afternoon.
    They say the man found a relative he went to check on dead inside the home.

  • Four Men Shot In Stockton Bar

    STOCKTON (CBS13) — Police say they’re looking for two people in connection with an early morning shooting inside a Stockton bar that sent four men to the hospital.
    One of those victims is reportedly in critical condition. The other three are expected to survive.

    The shooting occurred at El Tahur on East Main Street in Stockton around 1:30 a.m. Sunday.
