  SOUTH LAKE TAHOE (AP) – Authorities say a teenager playing with matches admitted accidentally starting a fire that caused $15,000 damage to a church at Lake Tahoe.
  Investigators previously had described the Jan. 9 fire at the Lake Tahoe Presbyterian Church in South Lake Tahoe as “suspicious.”

• Southwest Airlines To End Mexico City Flights In Late March

  DALLAS (CBS13/AP) – Southwest Airlines will drop service to Mexico City this spring and use the financial resources to bolster other routes.
  Dallas-based Southwest says it will cease operations at Benito Juárez Mexico City International Airport on March 30.

  STANISLAUS COUNTY (CBS13) – The seven people accused of helping the suspect in the murder of Newman police officer Ronil Singh avoid police have been federally indicted.

• Police Chase Ends In Crash In North Sacramento

  SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – A police chase ended in a crash early Friday morning in Sacramento.
  Police say the driver was reportedly driving recklessly before the chase started. The chase ended around 2:30 a.m. near Arcade Boulevard and Branch Street after the suspect hit a tree.

  SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – A North Sacramento community is shaken after one of their neighbors died of suspected carbon monoxide poisoning. Investigators announced Thursday the carbon monoxide detector inside of the 62-year-old’s apartment didn’t have a battery.

  SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — Some familiar sights along Sacramento-area freeways will soon disappear. Dozens of roadside call boxes are being removed by the end of the year.
