  SOUTH LAKE TAHOE (CBS13) – A 71-year-old man is suspected of killing his roommate by hitting her in the head with a piece of firewood.
  The incident happened last Sunday afternoon. South Lake Tahoe police say officers responded to a home along the 1100 block of Carson Avenue to investigate a report of a man hitting a woman with a large object.

• Davis PD Opens Assistance Center After Officer Corona’s Killing

  DAVIS (CBS13) – The Davis Police Department is opening up an assistance center in the wake of Officer Natalie Corona’s killing.
  Anyone who was shot at, saw the incident, or was nearby is invited to come to the center for support. Crisis counselors will be available and people can also apply for possible victim compensation for mental health treatment.

  CAMINO (CBS13) – A toddler was among three people killed in a crash on Highway 50 near Camino Tuesday evening, authorities say.
  According to California Highway Patrol’s Placerville division, a 51-year-old man from Fremont was driving in the westbound direction when he lost control near Camino Heights Drive and spun out.
  His car crossed into oncoming traffic, where it was hit by another vehicle.

  CAMINO HEIGHTS (CBS13) — CHP Placerville responded to a serious collision on Highway 50 near Camino Heights that killed multiple people.
  Placerville CHP said the crash happened around 6:24 p.m. Tuesday. The officers did not give an exact number of fatalities in the crash.
