• 2 Killed, Dog Badly Injured In Small Plane Crash Near Colusa

  COLUSA (CBS13) – Authorities say two men were killed in a small plane crash near Colusa on Monday.
  The Colusa County Sheriff’s Office says they were alerted around noon by the FAA about a possible plane crash a little over two miles south of Colusa. Two people and a dog were reportedly on board the plane.
  Deputies soon found a badly injured dog near the Wescott Road area, as well as evidence that a plane had crashed into a water retention pond next to a flooded rice field.

  BERLIN (AP) – German insurance company Munich Re says the Northern California wildfire that killed dozens of people and burned down the town of Paradise was the world’s costliest single natural disaster in 2018.
  The reinsurance giant said on Tuesday that the November fire caused overall losses of $16.5 billion. The company said some $12.5 billion in losses were insured.

  11:15 a.m.
  The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department says the person hurt in a shooting along Orchard Woods Circle has died.

  STOCKTON (CBS13) – A big rig driver was killed in an early morning crash involving two big rigs and a silage truck near Stockton on Tuesday.

  SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – A new low-cost carrier will soon be flying out of Sacramento International Airport.
