    LODI (CBS13) – A man is accused of using his children to steal a shopping cart full of items from a Kohl’s store in Lodi.
    On Sunday, police say they received the report that a man who, along with his three kids, pushed a cart full of items from the store without paying. Employees wrote down the man’s license plate number and gave it and the man’s description to officers.

  • Sacramento Walmart Employee’s Death Being Called Suspicious

    SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – A long-time Sacramento Walmart employee died on Sunday after he was reportedly assaulted before arriving to work.
    Soon after the 54-year old arrived at work, he collapsed. His co-workers reportedly found him unresponsive at the back area of the store. He was dead when he arrived at the hospital, according to a statement from the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department.

    ROSEMONT (CBS13) — A 21-year-old man is under arrest, charged with murder in connection to a homicide in Sacramento County that happened back in October.
    On October 27, firefighters found a dead man in the bushes on the side of a home on Ashgrove Way. Sheriff’s deputies began investigating the death and determined that the victim, 35-year-old Chrishawn Pierce, was violently assaulted, which led to his death.

    STANISLAUS COUNTY (CBS13) – A sheriff’s deputy was killed in a crash overnight while pursuing a suspected DUI driver.
    The chase started when Riverbank Police came upon a passed-out driver on the side of Oakdale and Patterson roads, just before 10 p.m. Sunday. The driver was suspected of DUI in connection with a crash.

    LOS ANGELES (AP) — A massive wildfire that killed dozens of people and destroyed thousands of homes in Northern California has been fully contained after burning for more than two weeks, authorities said Sunday.
