• Police: Man Shot Outside Donut Shop After Attempted Robbery

    MODESTO (CBS13) — An early morning donut run ended in with a trip to the hospital for a couple in Modesto Saturday.
    According to the Modesto Police Department, a couple was leaving a donut shop on Yosemite Blvd when a man came up to the husband demanding money. The husband refused to give the suspect money and then the suspect shot him.

    SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — As many mourned fallen Deputy Mark Stasyuk Saturday at his memorial service, one special officer helped assist with preparations for the day.The Sacramento Police Canine Association shared photos of K9 Jax who was present during preparations for the memorial service.

    SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — Heinous allegations of extortion are coming to light in the tragic 2017 death of Yuba College student Aly Yeoman.
    The FBI arrested 23-year-old Rozarri Young for interstate transmission of a threat to injure and with the intent to extort and interstate transmission of a threat to injure.

    SHASTA COUNTY (CBS13) — Mandatory evacuations have been issued for the Delta Fire, weeks after it raged near Interstate 5.
    A flare up on Friday north of Bear Gulch crossed bulldozer lines.
    The Trinity County Sheriff’s Department and the Trinity County Office of Emergency Services have issued a mandatory evacuation for residents on East Ford Road, north to Ramshorn Road and east to the Trinity-Shasta county line.

    LODI (CBS13) — A crash on Highway 99 turned the normally busy afternoon commute into a stampede when cattle were freed from a trailer.
