    CORTE MADERA (CBS13) – Apple Stores up and down the state, including Roseville, have been hit by robbers. Detectives are looking into whether some of them are connected.
    The latest heist happened Wednesday in the Marin County city of Corte Madera.

  • VIDEO: Wrong-Way Driver Narrowly Misses Cars On I-80 In Sacramento

    SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – A driver was cited then taken to the hospital after driving the wrong way on Interstate 80 late Wednesday morning.
    California Highway Patrol says they started getting reports a little after 11:30 a.m. about a wrong-way driver on the westbound I-80 lanes near W. El Camino Avenue. A nearby officer created a traffic break and was soon able to catch up to the driver.

  • 1 Teen Arrested In Deadly July Dixon House Party Shooting; More Suspects Still Sought

    DIXON (CBS13) – Detectives have made an arrest in the deadly shooting at a Dixon house party from earlier in the summer.
    The incident happened back on July 21. Dixon police say officers responded to the 1300 block of Bello Drive to investigate a shooting.
    At the scene, 38-year-old Mario Yokoi was found dead. A second shooting victim was also found at the scene and was taken to the hospital.

    SACRAMENTO (CBS13/AP) – A hearing is set to happen at the State Capitol on Friday to figure out why Verizon throttled data to first responders during the Mendocino Complex Fire.
    Santa Clara County Fire Chief Anthony Bowden says the throttling made it difficult for crews to coordinate during the initial fire fight.
    Verizon acknowledged that it wrongly limited data speed to the Santa Clara County Fire Department after the county reached its monthly data capacity under its internet plan.

    SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — California already has some of the toughest gun laws in the country but lawmakers are considering even more restrictions.
    Roughly 1 in 5 Californians owns a firearm but NRA Training Counselor Jon Kennedy, co-owner of Laguna Guns & Accessories in Elk Grove, says it’s gun rights in the Golden State that are under fire.
