  • Daughter Of Modesto Woman Found Dead Arrested For Homicide

    MODESTO (CBS13) – The daughter of an elderly woman found dead in her Modesto home on Tuesday has been arrested.
    Investigators said Gisele Tadlock was not initially a suspect, they just wanted to ask her some questions after her mother was found dead in a home along Kee Lane.
    However, the Stanislaus County Jail’s log shows that Tadlock was arrested Wednesday and booked on charges of homicide and elder abuse.
    Tadlock is now being held without bail.

    STOCKTON (CBS13) – Officers are investigating a homicide after a man was found fatally shot in Stockton early Wednesday morning.
    The scene is along the 1500 block of East Fremont Street.
    Stockton police say officers found a man down on the ground in the area just before 2 a.m. Officers checked on the man and found him to be unresponsive; they also saw he appeared to have been shot.

    ROCKLIN (CBS13) – Students in Rocklin go back to school Wednesday – with a possible teachers’ strike looming.
    Rocklin Unified School District is bracing for teachers to possibly go on strike after failing to come to a contract agreement.

    SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – Police are investigating a fight that left one man unconscious near a Midtown Sacramento bar.
    It happened early Tuesday morning at LowBrau.

    DAVIS (CBS13) — A study by UC Davis has found cancer survival rates in the state of California improved over the course of 20 years.
    The study compared the relative survival rates of people diagnosed with cancer between 1990 and 1994 to those diagnosed between 2006 and 2010. Those rates rose from 58 to 65 percent.
