    DALLAS (CBS13) – Southwest Airlines is making changes to its emotional support and trained service animal policies.
    Starting September 17, 2018, Southwest will only allow trained service dogs, cats, and miniature horses in its cabins. The airline will also accept fully trained psychiatric service animals as trained service animals.

    SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – The controversial chase in the shooting death of Stephon Clark is now paving the way for new policies for the Sacramento Police Department.
    On Monday, Sacramento police announced a new foot pursuit policy – the first major policy change since the shooting back in March.

  • Suspect In 2010 Tracy Homicide Arrested In Mexico

    TRACY (CBS13) – A suspect in a Tracy murder case has been arrested after being on the run for years.
    The Tracy Police Department says they’ve been looking for James Stancampiano in connection to a September 2010 homicide. Detectives have been working with the US Marshals Service to try and arrest Stancampiano for the last eight years.
    Finally, on Aug. 10, the now 26-year-old Stancampiano was arrested in Mexico.

    COLFAX (CBS13) – Health officials in Placer County have a warning for visitors at Auburn State Recreation Area: watch out for rabid bats!
    Earlier this month, a visitor found a bat at the Mineral Bar Campground in Colfax. The visitor took the bat to animal control the next day, and it tested positive for rabies. The California Department of Public Health (CDPH) says the bat may have come in contact with several children.

    SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – A two-alarm apartment fire in Sacramento sent up a lot of smoke Monday afternoon.
    Eight separate apartment units in the 100 block of Bicentennial Circle were involved just after 4 p.m., according to a Sacramento Fire Department statement.
