• Gunman Caught On Camera Firing Into Dixon Home

    DIXON (CBS13) – Police are searching for the person who shot into a Dixon home early Sunday morning.
    Nearby home surveillance footage shows the person firing several shots from a rifle into a home in the 600 block of McKenzie Drive, according to a Dixon Police Department statement. The incident happened around 4:50 a.m. on June 10.Fortunately, no one in the home was hurt.
    Investigators hope someone comes forward with higher resolution footage, allowing them to better see the shooter.

    SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – The California Lottery is making it easier for people to check if they won.
    The updated California Lottery app, called Check-a-Ticket, allows users to immediately scan their Scratchers or newer draw game ticket to see if the have a winner. The app uses the phone camera to scan the barcode on the ticket and then automatically shows the results.

    A source tells CBS13 that the employees were fired for looking into the medical records of Golden State Killer/East Area Rapist suspect Joseph DeAngelo.

    SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – California’s last call bill has now been referred to the Assembly Committee on Governmental Organization.
    In late May the California State Senate passed the bill to extend last call until 4 am.
    Senate Bill 905 would require the Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control to conduct a pilot program to allow licensed businesses to sell alcohol until 4 am. Currently, the cut-off time is 2 am. The pilot program would start between January 1, 2021, and last until January

    WOODLAND (CBS13) – Search crews are out in Yolo County looking for the bodies of two missing teens believed to have been murdered.
    Enrique Rios and Elijah Moore disappeared back in the fall of 2016.
    Law enforcement officers are searching near a levee along the Sacramento River, near Woodland. The area, which is near an orchard, is full of dense vegetation.

  • Stanislaus County Sheriff Looking For Female Driver From June 9 Hit And Run

    RIVERBANK (CBS13) – The Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Department is looking for a suspect from a hit and run on the evening of June 9.
    Around 8:30 p.m. last Saturday, deputies in Riverbank responded to a traffic collision with injuries on Atchison and 7th streets. The suspect drove a newer red Dodge Charger and sustained damage on the right front end of her vehicle, according to a statement from the sheriff’s department.

    ELK GROVE (CBS13) – An Elk Grove man died while running a triathlon in Michigan over the weekend.
    Gary Grunwald, 61, was running in the USAT Clydesdale and Athena National Championship in Ada Township, Michigan on Sunday.
    He was three miles from the finish line when he collapsed and died.
    Officials say the cause of death is unclear.
