  • California Suing Two Toddler Formula-Makers For High Lead Levels

    SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – The California Department of Justice and 10 District Attorneys statewide filed a lawsuit against two toddler formula-makers for high lead levels.
    “Peaceful Planet Toddler Supreme Formula” and “Sammy’s Milk Free-Range Goat Milk Toddler Formula” were both tested and found to have higher levels of lead than allowed by both the Food and Drug Administration and California’s Proposition 65.

    SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – A bill that would prevent employers from discriminating against medical marijuana users was shelved by the Assembly.
    AB 2069 is currently “held under submission”- meaning the Appropriations Committee wants more time to work on or discuss the bill.

  • 15-Year-Old In Custody After Wal-Mart Parking Lot Shooting In Lodi

    LODI (CBS 13) – A 15-year-old is in custody after a shooting in a Wal-Mart parking lot on June 2. The juvenile fired a single shot at an occupied vehicle in the reportedly busy parking lot around 3:50 p.m, according to Lodi police.
    The police identified the teen and arrested him on Monday for attempted homicide, multiple gang enhancements, and firearm charges. Due to his age, the suspect’s name has been withheld. He has been booked into Juvenile Hall.
