    SACRAMENTO (CBS13/AP) – For the first time since his arrest earlier this week, Joseph James DeAngelo, the man accused of terrorizing Californians in the 1970s and 1980s as Golden State Killer and the East Area Rapist, is appearing in a Sacramento Courtroom.
    DeAngelo came into the courtroom in a wheelchair pushed by a bailiff and answered a few questions from the judge. The entire hearing lasted less than three minutes.

    OLIVEHURST (CBS13) – Four people have been arrested in Yuba County after a bicyclist was shot and killed in Olivehurst.
    According to deputies, the shooting happened just before seven o’clock last night on 6th Avenue, near Olivehurst Avenue.

    VACAVILLE (CBS13) – A search is on for the man who robbed a jogger at Vacaville’s Lagoon Valley Park on Thursday.
    Vacaville police say the incident happened around 7:30 p.m. The jogger says she was running up the tower trail near Butcher Road when someone went up behind her and pressed a blunt object to her back.
    The man then told her to give up her stuff and she did. He then told her to stay put as he ran off.

    NEWMAN (CBS13) – A 28-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of stabbing a family member to death in Newman.
    The incident happened Thursday afternoon at a home along the 600 block of Orestimba Peak Drive.
    According to the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Department, Newman police officers responded to investigate a reported stabbing. Officers found that a woman, 37-year-old Maegan Christine Murray, had been stabbed. She was pronounced dead at the scene, deputies say.
