• 3 Found Dead Including 2 Young Boys In Modesto Home

    MODESTO (AP/CBS13) — Homicide detectives are investigating the deaths of three people, including two young children, whose bodies were found early Sunday inside a Modesto home, authorities said.
    It’s still unclear how the three died, but there are no suspects outstanding, according to Heather Graves, spokeswoman for the Modesto Police Department.
    Investigators are treating the case as an “isolated incident,” she said.

  • Sacramento Police Take Children Fishing For First Time

    SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — More than a dozen kids took their rods and reels out on the water Saturday for a day of fishing hosted by Sacramento Police. Invited by SacPal Fishing Club, the department’s marine unit and outreach team hosted 15 kids at Miller park Saturday morning.
     
    The kids were out on police boats and got a chance to learn a thing or two about fishing, water, and boating safety.

  • Shooting Investigation Underway In West Sacramento

    WEST SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — West Sacramento Police are investigating reports of shots fired in the area of West Capitol Avenue and Cedar Street.  According to West Sacramento Police sergeant Roger Kinney, officers were investigating an unrelated matter in the area when an officer heard gunshots.  They were not hurt and requested additional officers.
