    SIERRA COUNTY (CBS13) – Mud and rock slides have forced crews to close a portion of Highway 49 in the Sierra.
    California Highway Patrol’s Grass Valley division says the slides have happened north of Downieville.

    TRUCKEE (CBS13) – It looks bad, but Caltrans crews were well-prepared and were able to keep a mudslide from affecting traffic in the high Sierra for long.
    The scene was on westbound Interstate 80, east of Donner Lake Road.
    California Highway Patrol’s Truckee division says the mudslide came down and blocked the roadway.

    PLACER COUNTY (CBS13) – Emergency crews rescued a young girl after the car she was in crashed upside down into a creek Sunday morning.
